The first photo of the new 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible showed up on the internet, on online edition of Autobild. There are no details how the photo got to them or when it was taken, but another photo showed up afterwards, the original one it seems, and it shows a camera guy working around the car, so it was probably taking during a photo shooting of the car, somewhere near a lake or a sea.

The new 6 Series is scheduled to go on sale next summer or fall with pricing starting at 72,000 Euros (a little over $100,000), while a four-door version will compete the Audi A7 and the Mercedes CLS starting with early 2012.

Horror of the day: Car thong

A study recently published by insurance website Gocompare showed some interesting things about drivers’ stereotypes. 3,000 motorists were asked a few question about bad experiences with other drivers and more than half indicated that, at least once, they were “victims” of BMW drivers’ bad behavior. According to the study, the most dangerous forms of road rage include tailgating (58%), drivers pulling out in front of other drivers (40%) and speeding (39%).

The full list of Britain’s angriest drivers goes like this:

6. Lorry
7. Vauxhall
8. Range Rover
9. Volkswagen
10. Mercedes

There’s no point in saying how stupid we think road rage and the following numbers revealed by the study are definitely a strong argument (remember this is an UK study):

23% had to confront a motorist who got out of their car

11% have claimed on their insurance after encountering angry motorists

More than 10% were involved in accidents caused by road rage

37% hate it when other flash lights when wanting to overtake

32% are shocked when receiving offensive hand gestures

Study: BMW drivers are angriest in Britain

Citroen is launching the new season at their C42 flagship showroom on the famous Champs-Elysees avenue in Paris, France and one of this year’s highlights will be a special Citroen Survolt racing car turned into a work of art by French artist Francoise Nielly, with a “bold, vivid and brightly contrasting new fluorescent paint scheme”. According to Citroen, Nielly’s art works were among the inspiration sources for the original Survolt concept and they decided to honor that by putting the art car in the gallery.

Alongside the special Survolt, this year’s showroom includes the customized DS3 by Flavio Melchiorre, the DS3 Racing, the DS4 and the C-Zero.
