RUF Roadster pays tribute to 1967 Porsche Targa Posted: 18 Oct 2010 04:32 AM PDT German carmaker RUF has announced their latest production, which will be a modern day interpretation of the iconic 1967 Porsche Targa. The car features 19-inch forged aluminum wheels, an integrated roll cage, a two-piece roof and a “soft” rear window made of three-layer polyglass kept tight by an electric engine. Under the bonnet, the RUF Roadster will be powered either by a 400 hp (294 kW) six cylinder boxer engine or a 560 hp (412 kW) turbo power plant. A six-speed transmission comes as standard, while dual-clutch gearbox and four-wheel drive are available as an option. The RUF Roadster will go on sale next year at a starting price of 195,000 Euros ($275,000) without tax. [Source: RUF] Post published on Rpmgo.com |
