Polish driver almost crushed by truck full of logs [video] Posted: 26 Jan 2011 01:33 AM PST There’s not much to say about this video, except that it’s amazing how the guy shooting this movie is still alive and able to upload the clip on YouTube. Although, I can’t help thinking…should he curse the truck driver for driving like a maniac or should he thank him for managing the situation brilliantly and not killing him. What do you say? PS: One of comments on YouTube is absolutely hilarious. You can imagine the truck driver shouting “Get out of my way, I gotta deliver this wood!” Post published on Rpmgo.com |
Shelby Reveales 50th Anniversary Cobra Posted: 25 Jan 2011 01:31 PM PST If you like sports cars you gotta love the classic Shelby Cobra. Without any doubt, the car was the performance icon of the 60s and it still is very popular when we think about the fact that it still is being manufactured by not only Shelby American, but also by many other companies that keep this car very much alive. The kit-car Shelby Cobras are available in a variety of price ranges for all pockets. A similar situation can be found in the replicas domain where the cars range from awful imitations to reasonably authentic models. The good replicas can cost just as much as the continuation series launched by Shelby American. For those of you that have always dreamed about owning a Shelby Cobra that you can actually take for a spin and not just exhibit it in a museum, the best models will have to be the CSX8000 series cars. These look very much alike like the original car, but come fitted with modern components, including efficient brakes, upgraded amenities and a stronger frame. Shelby American will roll out a new Shelby Cobra model in order to commemorate 50th years since the first model was launched. Built in a very limited series of 50 units, all of the cars will benefit from anniversary badging, Wilton wool carpeting, a leather interior, commemorative serial number plate, wire wheels and special "Shelby Black" paintwork. As optional features, you can choose either an aluminum body or a fiberglass body, if you can afford it. The roller models (minus the transmission and the power unit), the fiberglass variants of this special edition Shelby Cobra will have a starting price of $69,995 while the aluminum body will set you back $134,995. The cars are quite expensive if we take into consideration the fact that once bought, the customer will have to spend another 20,000-30,000$ for the engine plus gearbox. However, it may cost you a bundle of money now; you will get them back (and more) in the years to come as the appreciation rate of these cars is very high in comparison to replicas which lose their value over the years, like your regular Focus or Golf. 2011 Porsche 911 Black Edition Revealed Posted: 25 Jan 2011 01:09 PM PST If you thought that the 911 is a cool car, than the black edition is even more awesome. The 2011 Porsche 911 Black Edition will arrive this spring for both the coupe and cabriolet versions and will bundle many standard equipment packages. As standard, the cars will come with a Solid Black paintwork or with the optional Bassalt Black Metalic. The cars will roll on impressive 19-inch Turbo II two-color rims with black-painted brake calipers. To make it even more black-ish, the guys over at Porsche added a dark gray top-tint in the windscreen, black lettering on those awesome stainless steel door entry guards, black sports steering wheel, black leather seats as well as other black components. As standard, the cars will pack a powerful BOSE Surround Sound-System plus a useful GPS navigation system. In addition, the 911 Black Edition will benefit from parking assistant, rain sensing wipers, automatic anti-dazzle interior and exterior mirrors plus cruise control. The Black Edition will carry the Carrera's engine, a 3.6-liter 6-cylinder power unit that churns 345 hp and is linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox. With this configuration, the 2011 Porsche 911 Black Edition Cabriolet will do the 0-60 mph sprint in only 4.9 seconds, onto a top speed of 180 mph. The car can be faster with the help of the PDK gearbox which will allow the 911 to do the sprint in 4.7 seconds (for the coupe model) and in 4.9 seconds for the convertible. The officials at Porsche said that the 911 Black Edition will be made in a limited edition of only 1,911 units and 30% of these will go to the North American customers. The base price of the coupe will be $81,300 and for the convertible customers will have to pay $91,300. Post published on Rpmgo.com |
