Posted: 06 Oct 2010 04:11 AM PDT Who says old ladies aren’t allowed to have some fun doing some donuts in a BMW M3? Well, we would be a little worried if all old ladies were like this one, but fortunately this is just a viral video created for a web startup company called Rentamama.com, which brokers best car rental deals worldwide. The concept isn’t new, but we’re just hoping these guys will make it work, especially after seeing this video. Source: Automotive Addicts [Via RideLust] Post published on Rpmgo.com |
Posted: 06 Oct 2010 04:01 AM PDT The 2011 Dodge Charger has just been revealed by Chrysler and the most important new stuff regards the styling redesign and the major technology upgrade. On the exterior, the car features the same “ready to attack the road” fascia, with the “split crosshair” grille, dual “scallops” on the aluminum hood, muscular front and rear fender and large body-side scallops. Also, one of the most important changes is the new tail-lamp design, which features 164 LEDs that form the “racetrack” graphic. There were no interior photos released, but the press release mentions premium materials, a new thick-rimmed three-spoke Dodge steering wheel and four color combinations available. Like we said, the new Dodge Charger features a major technology upgrade, with the Uconnect Touch system that integrates Garmin navigation, dual-zone climate controls and SIRIUS Travel Link which, among others, allow drivers to check fuel prices. Also, more than 65 safety and security features will be available, including standard Keyless Enter-N-Go and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with segment-exclusive Ready-alert Braking and Rainy Day Brake Support, adaptive-cruise control (ACC) with forward-collision warning (FCW), blind-spot monitoring (BSM) with rear cross path (RCP) detection and ParkViewTM rear back-up camera with grid lines. Under the bonnet, the new Charger will be available with two engines, a 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar for SE and Rallye versions, and a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with four-cylinder mode FuelSaver Technology for the R/T models. Though Chrysler doesn’t mention anything about power output for the engines, a few days ago leaked details mentioned a 305 hp (227 kW) rating for the V6, while the V8 is expected to produce 379 hp (283 kW) and 410 lb-ft max torque. The new 2011 Dodge Charger will be built at the Brampton Assembly Plant in Brampton, Ontario (Canada) and is scheduled to go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2010. When turkeys attack: Porsche owners beware! Posted: 06 Oct 2010 03:25 AM PDT When you drive a Porsche, usually you have to look out for radar cameras or worry about the expensive maintenance. But now Porsche drivers have another problem. Apparently, turkeys hate Porsche and they attack every time they see one. Source: Rennlist [Via target="_blank">Jalopnik] Post published on Rpmgo.com |
